It's easy to participate in this benchmarking service. P2P practitioners from an organisation domiciled in the UK are eligible. Simply register your organisation using the email address on the site, and we will send you back a secure link to access the questionnaire directly.

The Guidance Notes will give you an overview of the questions contained in the benchmarking survey, as well as which information and data points you will need to complete them. This preparation phase will take a maximum of two hours; once you have this information to hand, answering the questionnaire should take no more than 20 minutes.

Any modern browser can be used to complete the questionnaire. As long as you are using one of Internet Explorer 8 and above, Firefox 12 and above or Google's Chrome, you will be able to use the site.

If you visit using an unsupported browser you will receive a warning and will not be able to complete the survey.

An annual subscription to P2P Benchmarking will be free of charge until 31st December 2017. Thereafter there will be a small annual fee.

Only one person within your organisation should register to complete the questions. Once approved this person will receive any incentives mentioned in the invitation emails.

As we launch this service to the UK community, it will take a number of months to accumulate enough benchmarking data to be able to produce meaningful comparisons and analysis. In the beginning phase, we will benchmark your data against broad industry data on a few key metrics.

We hope to be able to provide you with a full UK-benchmarked report from early 2017 onwards.

The data from these reports are for internal use within your business only. Resale or distribution of the results for any other purpose is strictly prohibited. Failure to observe this condition will result in exclusion from future studies or reports, in addition to any other remedies permitted under law.

We aim to make the questions as clear-cut as possible and provide explanatory text throughout the questionnaire as well. However, if you require any further clarification, please email [email protected] and will respond to your inquiry within 2 business days.

If you are completing this survey as a shared service centre, it would be best if you responded as one entity and answered questions by aggregating information from the various business units or companies that you support. So, for question 3, add the annual turnover figures for all organisations together, for question 5, provide the sum total of all employees, for question 12, add up the invoices you process for all businesses, and for question 32, provide the total number of active suppliers you deal with. If for any reason you cannot aggregate the figures, or the companies you support belong to different industry segments and you prefer to have 2 separate survey accounts, just drop us a line at [email protected].

At any time before you press the final Submit button, you are free to amend your answers. If you need to change an answer after you have submitted the questionnaire, please email us on [email protected].

As part of the questionnaire process, we collect the personal information you give us such as your name, organisation, telephone number and email address. We also collect the answer details regarding your AP function.

When you browse the questionnaire, we also automatically receive your computer's internet protocol (IP) address in order to provide us with information that helps us learn about your browser and operating system.

We are fully committed to the principles of maintaining complete confidentiality of individual input. This service will aggregate the information you provide to us with that of other respondents to form an anonymised set of data from which to draw inferences about AP performance across different industry sectors. Your raw information will never be published and names of companies and participants will not be divulged.

Protecting your data is fundamental to everything we do. We have invested in industry-leading infrastructure and constantly strive to ensure your data is always secure. We go to great lengths to comply with legislation covering data security and privacy. The data centres and our systems have been certified as complying with the requirements of ISO 27001. We encrypt all data between you and the site. Your web session is encrypted using industry-standard TLS (Transport Layer Security) protecting your user ID, password and financial data.

Your first submission should be for the last full financial year for which you have data. Once one year has elapsed from this first submission date, you will have renewed access to the questionnaire to update your results for the next financial year.

It is anticipated that this will be released end of 2017.
